Top Cities

Tokyo
Tokyo Station is considered a hub to various spots around the country. A short walk from the station will take you to the Imperial Palace. Various office buildings, department stores, and hotels also line the area.
Shinjyuku
Lined with skyscrapers, Shinjuku is well-known for its business and entertainment districts. It's also where you'll find "Kabukicho" -- a famous red-light district often used as a backdrop in movies, TV dramas, and novels.

Ebisu
Located in the heart of Tokyo, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. Ebisu is known to be a calm, fashionable area with a lot of foreign residents.
Shinagawa/Odaiba
A sea-side shopping and business district. Easy access, plenty of hotels and shops to choose from, and a large park nearby, make this area quite popular with non-Japanese visitors as well.
Asakusa
Highly recommended for those with an interest in old Japan. There are numerous spots to visit here, with Sensoji Temple (Asakusa Kannon) at the forefront. An ideal area to get a feel for Japan's "downtown" atmosphere.
Yokohama
The largest city in Kanagawa Prefecture. With an international flare, the city boasts historic Western architecture, and Chinatown as popular tour destinations. For a taste of ancient Japan, Kamakura is not far away.
